Matt Restivo is currently the head of Digital Product at the National Hockey League. He oversees product development on the NHL’s apps, NHL.com, all club properties and connected devices. Matt is focused on growing revenue and providing a familiar cross platform experience for the hockey fan on the go, on the couch, and at the arena. For the 2014-15 season, he re-booted the NHL app to double digit increases in every key metric.
While at ESPN, Matt Restivo emerged as one of the pioneers in the mobile Notifications space. He was both the visionary and the person who executed the Inbox inside the ESPN app, and was solely responsible for growing the messaging audience size from 1-25mm users.
Matt is a 5 time New York City Marathoner, Ironman and Indoor Cycling Instructor at Flywheel Sports in NYC.
Matt was previously the Product Manager for ESPN Passport, and is now an advisor for Hardball Passport and its sister sites. He graduated from Siena College with a BS in Computer Science and a minor in Business. Matt occasionally writes blog posts, but can be found hopping around New York City, and active on both twitter, and facebook.
